We have a brand new name and the wheels are turning for a whole new Reunion concept for 2016! ***
We learned a lot during the Centennial, and we're looking to put on some doin's in 2016 that will beat all you've ever seen.
We're thinking to have a one- or possibly two-day Reunion in early September--we're looking at schedules right now, but we're aiming for Saturday, September 10th.
Whoa! A friend with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Posse has alerted us that the NM State Fair Parade will be on September 10. We'll look for an alternative date. Thanks to Joe Velarde for being alert!
Our major focus for the Reunion is going to be a spectacular Ranch Rodeo! For the 2015 Centennial we had a hugely successful rodeo that drew an estimated 1,600 spectators! It was standing-room-only at the Santa Fe Trail Event Center, and so this year we're looking at holding the rodeo in the Center's outdoor arena where, once we bring in ample seating, there'll be room for many more spectators. In addition, we're thinking to have a good number of vendors and possibly some entertainment. And, we're right now looking into the possibility of making our rodeo even more spectacular than ever by joining up with the Working Ranch Cowboy Association in Amarillo. Stay tuned for updates on those efforts!
Many of you want to see us continue with the non-motorized, all-horse parade to kick things off. The parade at the Centennial attracted more than 200 horses and many wagons--an historic event! A dignified, quiet parade, the likes of which had not been seen in this part of the country in many decades, was led by the horseback Governor of New Mexico and included teams and posses of mounted folk from all across New Mexico and several other states. We're happy to tell you that it looks like we have an enthusiastic individual who is ready, willing, and able to take the reins and mount another fantastic parade!
There's still time to order a copy of the 2015 panorama as seen below. The image is approximately 9" by 38" and is available for $75 unframed and $150 framed (not including tax and shipping). Please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 505-366-1960
